Details: Job Classification: Direct Hire Aerotek Scientific, a national leader in scientific staffing, is currently partnering with a premier Biotechnology company in the Kansas City area seeking qualified candidates for an Quality Assurance Officer. The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Officer will be to assure management that all corporate resources engaged in the conduct of nonclinical laboratory studies are in conformance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations by performing the following duties.Key Job Responsibilities:- Maintain competency in the current GLP regulations, and Test site Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).- Maintain a master schedule of all GLP nonclinical laboratory studies.- Identify and recommend the need for additional SOPs. Review all new and revised SOPs.- Perform protocol reviews to assure that all information necessary for compliance with GLPs is present - Periodically inspect ongoing studies to assure compliance with GLP guidelines, the protocol and applicable SOPs. - Perform an in-depth evaluation of any study lasting more than six months in order to detect errors in recording data, lack of conformity to the protocol and deviations from the GLPs and/or SOPs at an early stage in the study- Periodically inspect contract laboratories or other facilities providing data in support of GLP studies to assure compliance with GLP guidelines, applicable protocols and SOPs.- Review each final report, and draft reports if requested, to assure full compliance with GLP guidelines and objectives. - Perform periodic facility audits of facilities, equipment, and records required by GLPs.- Serve as a focal point for regulatory agency or sponsor audits.- Train both staff and other QA personnel for GLP purposes.- Perform other duties as assigned.- The Quality Assurance Officer is not responsible for the design, validity, or conduct of the scientific aspects of specific studies.Minimum Requirements:-3-5 years of experience of supervising and training both staff and other QA personnel for GLP purposes.-3-5 years of experience inspecting ongoing studies to assure full compliance with GLP guidelines and objectives.-A Bachelor's Degree in the Sciences with 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a GLP setting.
