Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Cultural Resources staff in San Bernardino, California as a Field Technician. Under the supervision of senior cultural resources staff, the candidates will be involved with a wide range of projects related to energy, transportation and development for clients in both the private and public sectors.You will supervise and complete compliance monitoring, supervise archaeological surveys, participate in excavations, and document findings. In addition you may: •Conduct archaeological surveys.•Participate in test excavations and mitigation projects.•Follow all quality control guidelines established by Atkins.•Maintain fieldwork documentation and reporting according to Atkins standards.•Coordinate and communicate with staff and management in a coherent and expeditious manner.•Track and maintain progress for assigned tasks, independently resolve issues, show initiative, and work to creatively increase efficiency in assigned tasks. This position will not support visa sponsorship.You must be willing and prepared to spend much of your work time in the field and travelling to project sites. Assignments may be out of town and you are expected to travel to where the work is located.
