Details: Microbiologist 1 Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab, College of Veterinary Medicine Washington State University Pullman Campus This is a full-time, civil service position located in the Aquatic Animal Health section and responsible for performing a wide range of microbiologic assays on animal disease related samples from fish with particular emphasis on isolation and identification of bacterial pathogens, but also including immunologic based assays (FAT and ELISA), cell culture, parasite sample preparation and screening. Other duties include collecting samples, performing and monitoring QC procedures in the performance of these assays, and entering data into a laboratory information database.
