PharMerica operates more than 100 institutional pharmacies in over 40 states and serves nursing facilities that care for approximately 350,000 patients.PharMerica Louisville is recruiting a Full-Time Pharmacy Warehouse Technician to join our team.Essential Functions:Organize daily and end of day deliveries with courier service.Repairing med carts and fax machines at nursing facilites.Picking up merchandise from local retailers and compounding pharmacy.Organizing warehouse.Filing and maintaining daily paperwork.Preparing shipments to and from Iron Mountain.Assist in pulling paperwork for auditsGeneral maintenance and repairs in pharmacyAssists the Pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments.Packages medications for dispensing and for delivery.Communicates with nursing center personnel and other customers in a pleasant and professional manner.Processes returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.Knowledge of Data Entry and / or IV experience is a plus.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Certification if required by state.Minimum one year experience in a long-term care pharmacy preferred.2 years shipping and receiving experience preferred.Must be able to place orders and handle receiving functions.Warehouse organization and management experience preferred.Previous pharmacy experience preferred.Organization, planning, compliance, customer service, adaptability, initiative, and follow through skills required.Interested candidates please apply on-line @ www.pharmerica.com
